Magnetic Business Development is a marketing company which generates business leads for its customers to help them expand. It was set up in 2005 and delivers business development services including tele-canvassing, web site design, search engine optimisation, material production and social media advice.

Magnetic Business Development’s Managing Director, Ebony Varney, explains: “I’d been running my business in Bexhill for 12 years and it was time for a fresh environment. I’d viewed several dark, dingy offices before seeing Pacific House, which just felt like the perfect place for us. It’s bright and comfortable – an aspirational office where I knew we’d enjoy working and I’d be happy to welcome clients.”

East Sussex Outpatient Services (ESOPS) is an independent healthcare provider working with the NHS. Patients can be referred to ESOPS by their GP for expert outpatient treatment. It specialises in general and colorectal surgery, dermatology, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, urology and, for patients registered with a GP in the Hastings or Rother area, orthopaedics.

ESOPS had been based in the South Cliff area of Eastbourne. It has now moved to Pacific House and sees patients in the Harbour Medical Centre 50 metres away. It has 10 management and administrative staff and 26 medical consultants.

Stephen Cotton, Business & Operations Director at ESOPS, explains: “We’ve moved to Sovereign Harbour because it’s so accessible for our patients, who no longer have to travel to the centre of Eastbourne. The Harbour Medical Centre is a modern facility with a minor operations theatre, while Pacific House is a contemporary, aesthetically-pleasing office building with excellent amenities. The landlords are extremely helpful, too”.

Unity Care Solutions provides home-based support for children and adults in Eastbourne and Maidstone, Kent. The company’s 120-strong team includes registered children’s nurses and care workers specialising in learning disabilities.

The organisation has been based in Eastbourne town centre for 11 years and is now moving to Pacific House for its accessible location, easy parking and modern facilities.

Maria Bolton, Managing Director of Unity Care, explains: “We’ve been in very dated premises in the town centre and are extremely excited about moving to Pacific House. It’s providing a big boost for our team.

“I was bowled over when I first walked into the building and instinctively knew it was right for us. It’s modern, bright, has plenty of parking and rooms we can hire for meetings and training as and when we need them. It will also be great to be part of a thriving community of companies within the building – including several in the care sector like us.”

South Central Ambulances NHS Foundation Trust was established in 2006 from the merger of four separate ambulance services. The organisation provides ambulance response to 999 calls, the NHS 111 medical telephone advice line and non-emergency patient transport.

It handles over 500,000 urgent calls each year across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire. It also receives around 1.3 million calls to the NHS 111 number and provides over 500,000 non-emergency patient journeys. It has recently become the provider of non-emergency patient transport in Sussex and Surrey.

The organisation now has 48 staff in Pacific House, which it says it chose because “The offices are secure, the facilities are ideal for the team and it’s in a prime location”.
