Proposals for a major business development on the Bexhill Enterprise Park, which could support up to 500 local jobs, can soon move forward after a planning inspector has ruled Rother District Council was wrong to reject the scheme. The Inspector also approved the discharge of five planning conditions the Council failed to consider.

£1.94 million of government funding has been awarded to enable us to start extending the Bexhill Enterprise Park to the north-eastern side of Combe Valley Way. This has the potential to more than double the size of the existing business park, accommodating more local jobs.

We fully opened the North Bexhill Access Road this afternoon to the north-west of Bexhill. The new road connects the Combe Valley Way (formerly known as the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road) through to Ninfield Road (the A269), just south of its junction with Freezeland Lane.

Five more companies have taken offices within Pacific House on Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour Innovation Park, and an existing occupier has expanded to a third office, bringing our building’s occupancy level to around 90%.

The western half of the North Bexhill Access Road, which is being developed to the north-west of Bexhill, will open from 4pm this Friday, 14 December 2018. It will connect via a roundabout to Watermill Lane running north, and via another new roundabout to Ninfield Road (A269) near the Freezeland Lane junction, providing a new local travel route.
