Sea Change Sussex has been revealed as one of only three organisations in south-east England to be successful in the third round of the Government’s Regional Growth Fund. Grant funding of up to £5.5 million has been allocated – to be combined with private investment – for Sea Change’s proposed North Queensway Business Park in Hastings, to help local manufacturing businesses to expand and create more local jobs.

The Government has today confirmed the Compulsory Purchase Orders necessary for East Sussex County Council to acquire the land to build the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road.

The Sussex Exchange opens next Wednesday 29 August as a high-standard conference and event venue, restaurant and bar on the border of Hastings and St Leonards, East Sussex. It is part of the economic development programme for the area led by Sea Change Sussex.

Demolition work starts today in Hastings’ Priory Quarter town centre business district. This will clear the way for 24,000 sq ft of high standard new offices as part of the on-going regeneration of the town.

gaining momentum. A planning application for the first phase of works, including a new
junction and site entrance, is to be submitted in July.
