Sea Change Sussex is drawing up proposals to develop a road it is calling the ‘Queensway Gateway’. This new road would connect Queensway with Sedlescombe Road North (the A21) in northern Hastings to provide access to business development sites and so support local job creation.

Sea Change has been consulting local people before submitting a planning application for this scheme.

Attached here is a copy of the presentation Sea Change gave at Hastings Borough Council’s Planning Forum meeting on the evening of 24 September 2014.

This presentation shows how the proposed scheme fits within Sea Change’s broader set of regeneration projects; the proposed road outline; suggested landscaping (also shown below); and the implications for local traffic flows.

Sea Change will shortly submit a planning application for the scheme, which will provide a further chance for people to provide comments.

Update, 8 October 2014:  Sea Change has now submitted a planning application for the Queensway Gateway. You can view and comment on the application here.
