The next stage for Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour Innovation Park has begun, with utilities being installed and the site’s access road being extended to enable further offices to be developed.
This infrastructure work is being carried out by Walker Construction and is expected to be completed by early spring 2018.
At the same time, Sea Change is managing the construction of a new community centre at the western end of the business park site.
The infrastructure work follows successful lettings at the Pacific House offices – the first scheme which economic regeneration company Sea Change Sussex has developed on the Innovation Park.
Pacific House was completed as a 25,235 sq ft, three-storey business centre in 2015. Demand for offices has been strong, with only five offices remaining available to let.
In addition to Pacific House, the Innovation Park has sites which will be able to accommodate further premises up to 94,000 sq ft when the infrastructure works are completed (see indicative site plan).
Companies can commission Sea Change to develop bespoke freehold or leasehold properties for them, or they can buy serviced sites to develop their own.
The Sovereign Harbour Innovation Park is designed to provide an economic boost to the area by providing high-quality premises and sites on previously disused land. It is three miles from Eastbourne town centre and five minutes’ walk to the cafes, restaurants and boutiques of Sovereign Harbour’s marina and retail park.
