The findings of the recent consultation for Sea Change Sussex’s development ideas for a North Queensway business park in Hastings are now available on this web site.
Having concluded the consultation, Sea Change will submit a planning application for the first part of the scheme, including a new junction and site entrance, to Hastings Borough Council in the next few weeks.
Designated for employment use, the North Queensway site will provide an opportunity for expanding local companies to build premises according to their needs.
In early July, Sea Change hosted two Information Days for people living and working nearby to view the proposals. The purpose was to present details of the first phase of works, to show the overall plans for the business park in broad terms and to discuss the various studies underway. It was an opportunity for visitors to ask questions and to register any comments or concerns. Click here to see the materials on show during these Information Days: NQ Exhibition Panels
The feedback report – recording all comments received – will accompany the planning application and is now available to view here: Final North Queensway consultation report.
Subject to planning consent, the construction of a new road junction and site entrance as well as work to bring utilities into the site could start before Christmas. The second phase of works, subject to a planning application later this year, will include a new access road and site clearance in order to prepare the plots for development. Each plot would be the subject of subsequent and separate planning applications and the timing of any development will depend on the companies involved.
